Directive No.07/1999/CT-UB, issued by the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, prescribes urgent measures to prevent and combat illegal logging, illegal processing, transport, trade and use of timber and forest products; cutting of forest trees for pepper poles; deforestation; and encroachment on forest land to plant coffee.
