Summary
Circular No. 17/2023/TT-BYT, issued by the Minister of Health on September 25, 2023, amends, supplements and abrogates certain legal instruments on food safety previously issued by the Minister. The Circular is issued pursuant to the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents, the Law on Food Safety, relevant Government decrees including Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP and Decree No. 95/2022/ND-CP, and the proposal of the Director of the Food Safety Department. The Circular revises key provisions of: (i) Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BYT on management and use of food additives; (ii) Decision No. 46/2007/QD-BYT on maximum limits for biological and chemical contaminants in food; and (iii) Circular No. 18/2019/TT-BYT on GMP for production and trading of health-supporting food.
