Summary
Decree 10/2000/ND-CP, issued by the Government on 27 March 2000, sets the minimum wage in enterprises. It takes effect from 1 January 2000. The decree establishes a single minimum wage of 180,000 dong per month for employees working in enterprises operating under the Law on State Enterprises and under the Law on Enterprises. This minimum wage is the central calculation input. For state enterprises operating under the Law on State Enterprises, the levels for paying and receiving social insurance and health insurance contributions for workers and staff are computed using the salary coefficients set in Decree 26/CP of 23 May 1993 together with the minimum wage in Article 1 of this decree.
