This Decision was issued in 2024 by the Kiên Giang Province People's Committee to set unit prices for compensating crops and livestock, and support levels for relocating livestock, when the State recovers land. It implements Article 103 of the 2024 Land Law and Decree No. 88/2024/NĐ-CP on compensation, support, and resettlement, providing the official basis for land-clearance compensation in the province.

• Establishes detailed compensation prices for fruit trees (graded A-D), timber trees, fast-growing and miscellaneous trees, acacia/eucalyptus/melaleuca/mangrove species, bamboo, ornamental plants, and annual crops, priced per tree, per clump, or per square metre.

• Sets compensation prices for aquaculture species under intensive farming (freshwater and saltwater), with extensive farming compensated at 40% of the intensive rate.

• Specifies tree-counting and forest-measurement methods, including sampling rules and maximum planting densities (e.g., up to 15,000 or 20,000 trees/ha by age).

• Defines cases with no compensation, including illegally established or post-notice plantings and already-harvestable annual crops, with potted/nursery plants and movable livestock receiving only relocation costs capped at 30%.

• Sets livestock relocation support at 30% of the applicable compensation unit price.

• Provides procedures for crops or livestock not listed and for market-price changes of 20% or more, requiring review and provincial approval.

Province-wide in Kiên Giang, effective from 25 December 2024, and replaces Decision No. 750/QĐ-UBND of 2 April 2024 on aquaculture crop and livestock compensation prices for 2024.
