This is a Decision of the People's Committee of Lâm Đồng Province, signed on 4 August 2015, promulgating the Regulation on the management and use of the certification mark “Sầu riêng Đạ Huoai” (Đạ Huoai durian). It is grounded in the 2005 Law on Intellectual Property, Decree No. 103/2006/NĐ-CP and Circular No. 01/2007/TT-BKHCN on industrial property, and was issued at the proposal of the People's Committee of Đạ Huoai district. Its purpose is to establish the legal basis for protecting and governing a certification mark that identifies durian grown in the Đạ Huoai area.

• Promulgates an attached Regulation governing who may use the “Sầu riêng Đạ Huoai” certification mark and on what conditions — a certification mark signals the defined origin and quality of durian from Đạ Huoai district, Lâm Đồng province.

• Sits within Vietnam's industrial-property framework — the Law on Intellectual Property (2005), Decree 103/2006/NĐ-CP, and Circular 01/2007/TT-BKHCN — which provides for the registration and management of certification marks.

• Assigns implementation to the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Science and Technology, and the People's Committee of Đạ Huoai district, alongside other relevant agencies and mark users.

• Originated from a proposal by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Đạ Huoai district, reflecting a locally-led effort to brand and protect a regional agricultural specialty.

The Decision takes effect ten days after its signing date and remains in force; it was signed by Đoàn Văn Việt, Chairman of the Lâm Đồng Provincial People's Committee.
