A South Central Coast province with a coastal plain and hilly western interior; population about 1.3 million (2024). Home to the Dung Quất oil refinery and heavy industry, with agriculture and fishing. In the 2025 merger it expanded inland by absorbing the former Central Highlands province of Kon Tum.

Summary
Resolution No. 03/2020/NQ-HDND, adopted by the People's Council of Quang Ngai Province at its 18th session on 28 April 2020, approves the Table of Land Prices for Quang Ngai Province applicable for the five-year period 2020-2024. The Resolution is issued pursuant to the Law on Organization of Local Government (2015), the Law on Prices (2012), the Land Law (2013), Decree No. 44/2014/ND-CP on land prices, Decree No. 96/2019/ND-CP on the land price frame, Decree No. 01/2017/ND-CP, and Circular No. 36/2014/TT-BTNMT.
