Law 51/2024/QH15, passed by the National Assembly on 27 November 2024, amends and supplements several articles of the Law on Health Insurance (Law 25/2008/QH12, as previously amended). The most calculation-relevant change concerns the contribution base. The amended Article 3 provides that the health insurance contribution rate is set as a percentage of the wage used as the base for compulsory social insurance under the Law on Social Insurance (referred to as the monthly wage), or of the pension, allowance, or a newly defined reference level.
